This is the best place to stay in Worthing. We asked for a room with sea view and got a spacious room with sitting area and a four-poster bed. The morning greeting from the restaurant manager at breakfast was a welcome start to the day. Meals are good value. Staff are very helpful, friendly and approachable. The hotel is located in easy reach of all shopping and entertainment venues in Worthing.
The resturant staff were very well trained, efficient, tidy and very pleasant. The managers and staff could show higher graded hotels how to run an efficient unit. - The breakfast was very nice. The reception staff were very helpful, smart and polite, they gave a good first impression. The housekeeping staff do a very good job, you could tell that the rooms are kept clean and not just dusted over - well done
The decor is a little tired, the corridors were a little gloomy, but neat and clean, would love to see it again if/when it is refurbished
Stayed at the Chatsworth whilst visiting Brighton for the weekend and was extremely impressed with this lovely hotel and it's fantastic location. After arriving at 10.45 p.m. on a Saturday night where they had wedding celebrations in progress, we were checked in within seconds and shown to our room. All the staff we came across were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was plentiful, varied, hot and better than hotels charging £400 per night. The dining room is lovely with super staff. A gem of a hotel within 20 minutes of the madness of Brighton, a real find and comes highly recommended.
Ideal location. Close to town centre & pier theatre.
Sunday morning breakfast location being moved due to Wedding Fair preparation. Staff seemed a bit "stressed" !
staff are always helpful and pleasant. Hotel is well situated. You serve a good breakfast, well presented and tasty.
very little you can do about parking - however it is a pain!
Excellent location with very friendly staff. Very competitive room rates. We used hotel as a base for weekend in Brighton & Hove (b&h) and it was considerably cheaper to stay here and get a taxi to b&h at the beginning and end of the evening - rather than stay in b&H. You must use Worthing based taxi however, as they are half the b&h based taxi rate. Hotel had very clean rooms and excellent breakfast the next morning.
Parking can be a bit tricky, but there is an ncp car park very close to the hotel.
Great location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast choice and service excellent. Tho' we didn't use it, the facility for parking in the ncp being subsidised is a very nice gesture on the part of the Chatsworth.
Poor breakfast, vinegary poached eggs, half a tomato and a withered rasher of bacon. Baked beans cheap, tea and coffee poor.
I chose the Chatsworth Hotel for the location, availability but most of all because they accepted dogs. The hotel was very extravagant looking and had beautiful views. The staff were friendly and the stay was good value for money and very enjoyable. As we were only there overnight, we did not get a full picture of the facilities but were overall very happy. The breakfast was one of the biggest selections I have seen and was very well displayed. A lovely visit.
The only negative point I can make was that the room, on the third floor, was exceptionally hot which meant we had to sleep with the window open and therefore it was a little noisy at times.
The building itself is a lovely piece of Georgian/Victorian architecture. The room was comfortable and good value for the price paid. The overall feel of the hotel makes me conclude that it is the best in the seafront location.
The downside for some maybe the lack of dedicated parking. Having said that we drove once round the block and a parking space became available right outside! In any event there is a drop off zone outside the hotel and a 200 yard walk to a multi-storey car park is hardly taxing.
Great lounge, bar and breakfast room. Bathrooms clean but spartan.
Bathrooms, clean but like being at primary school. Not for a romantic weekend!
Nice hotel, good and friendly staff. Great position , didn,t have good room position but booked at a reduced rate. Best thing was open early for breakfast, both sat and sunday.
Difficult parking !!!
Excellent hotel, good clean rooms, very good staff, good food and excellent value for money
The Lady receptionist was very nice, as was the breakfast waitress.
The Hotel is in desperate need of having some money spent on it. The bed I slept in was well past its best (room 335) this room also overlooked the local bus depot and there was traffic movements all night,, the bathroom was very cold (no heating). I chose a cooked breakfast and was somewhat supprised to receive the plate with 6 tiny mushrooms, half a rasher of bacon, a well done (hard) fried egg half a tomato and a sausage. The toast and coffee were very nice. We paid £75, about £30 to much.
the location was perfect it was cosy and warm and rather "english" helpful staff waiters were very friendly and tried hard nice dining room
room rather small and overfurnished bed a bit small lounges allso too full of furniture decoratively perhaps in need of updating -n na expensive undertaking - less furniture as I said would give a feeling of a bit more space.
